Putting others first:
My parents FINALLY joined the modern times and got cable this week. They have a big ol’ box tv (and by big I mean clunky, not screen size… because it’s 29”) in their room, which is pretty much the only working TV in the house.
So I am being a generous daughter and buying them a combined Father’s Day/Mom’s birthday (in early July) present and getting them an LED flat screen for their room.
Even though all I want to buy is shoes, clothes & makeup… once in awhile I have to rein it in and do something nice for someone besides myself.

I saw the Rolling Stones in concert Friday night. I bought a lottery style ticket (you pick then up at will-call and don’t know your seats until then), and was lucky enough to be in the tongue pit! I feel so lucky to have been able to see one of my favorite bands at such a close proximity. It was an amazing and unforgettable experience!

GPOYW: Caught up with Lindsay last night- it was so nice to chat with her, and really reminded me of how much I miss her being in Chicago (she moved to Houston about a year ago).
